Traktor x1 bag11/18/2023 These can be categorized into three main areas: This new version, the X1 MK3, reintroduces the layout of the MK1 with some significant improvements that make it a very attractive upgrade option. While not the most reliable thing in my bag, it had a wonderfully simple and intuitive layout. I would buy old controllers off eBay until they inevitably broke from hard use. I personally found the original X1 to be the best version and never upgraded to MK2. Dimensions = Height: 129 mm / Width: 323 mm /Depth: 56 mm.Two months of Beatsource or Beatport streaming included. Customizable button colors and backlighting.I am more interested in what this release says about Native Instruments and the future of Traktor. A solid update on the original classic – most people will want to upgrade to this if they are still have use for a X1 style controller. Yes, the new controller from Native Instruments is very good-looking – dare I say, sexy? It’s also super functional, effortlessly doubling as both a mixer controller and an FX controller. 20-year cycles? Is Traktor coming back? Don’t count it out. It feels like the beginning of something new, reminiscent of the classic days of old. You all know this story, so why am I sharing this now? Because the new Traktor X1 controller from Native Instruments feels like more than just a sexy new update of a classic product. As the years went by, DJ hardware became just as good as software and took over everything. Then MIDI controllers became standardized, and sadly, no custom mapped them anymore. The modularity they offered was exciting and very innovative. The back panel is home to an integrated USB hub for linking up other controllers or media players, including CDJs, another X1, or whatever gear completes your custom DJ setup and, to finish, the included software helps kick everything off straight away: Traktor Pro 3, and a free two month subscription to Beatsource or Beatport. In 2001, I switched to DJing with Traktor because it allowed me to use MIDI controllers and customize them to create new ways of playing. The familiar bank of four encoders have been left over from previous generations, so you can comfortably browse through your deck, while a set of twenty transport control buttons with a new, larger and more tactile, ergonomic design have also been provided. The control panel of the X1 MK3 is populated by no-less-than five OLED displays, each designated for essential track and effect info, so you can get away from your laptop and concentrate solely on this tactile chunk of hardware. A completely new mixer mode has also been supplied for tweaking the equalizer and volume for all four channels and, at the push of a button, you can switch between the mixer and effect modes at will. Alongside the X1 MK3, you get Traktor Pro 3 DJ software on the side, which seamlessly integrates with the controller while, out of the box, you gain the clear visual feedback of a set of defined and colour-coded buttons and controls and striking LED lighting that lets you know when a track is almost finished or is looping. This unit comes fully upgraded with advanced displays, LED lighting and more. Fresh from the Native Instruments lab, the Traktor X1 MK3 is a smart and fully portable DJ solution for mixing, messing with effects and triggering loops.
